Thinking and Rethinking the Arts
Many believe that art is subjective. It also serves as a means of communication, because art expresses human experiences, it tells some meanings or stories behind it. Having realized that art has many definitions, it is because art is everywhere and artworks have no objectively true or direct meaning. But what connects us in appreciating an art is also recognizing its ability to stimulate some emotions, or perspectives. Art is more than just its form, shape or its composition, but its value relies on its ability to stir the viewers’ emotion. But how do these emotions affects us? These artworks are the product of an artists’ imagination that connects with us. Honestly, sometimes I find it hard to appreciate some artworks and its real intention, what I often appreciate is its extrinsic beauty and its relevance.
